It started in 1990 with a local grocery shop. The people in the area asked him again and again to bring in some office supply. This way he acquired the knowledge of office supply.

Later, the idea was born to do business also via the Internet. He did some research; found a fee-of-charge Shop-Software, that met his requirements for now. His sons Matthias and Michael helped him and are still supporting him with the design of the Internet-presence.

A central question in the Internet is how to be found. In his case, he wanted Internet user to find his online-shop for office supply. Herr Koitz invested a lot of time to find out how that is happening. He made mistakes but they brought him new insights. He has today for example several Internet addresses, which are directing to his offer.

When one asks Herr Koitz how he is rating the economical situation in the district Uckermark, he says he is not very optimistic. Still one should not give up. Especially when one is without work one has the option to start something new in small steps. Often a hobby or field of interest is suitable for an online business. The Uckermark with its low population density and rural structure makes turning toward the Internet business in particular advisable.
