image author: Monika Brachmann Monika Brachmann, the painter who has lived for the past few years in the Uckermark is fascinated by the countryside that surrounds her.
As a graphic-designer graduate and model-student for painting of Professor Hermann Bachmann at the HfbK in Berlin, she has the eye and skill to encompass the impression of the Uckermark.
image author: Monika Brachmann Through travelling to various countries, often to Tuscany in Italy is she able to draw comparisons between the different landscapes.
And she said when she arrived in the Uckermark that it is just like Tuscany: the hills, the trees (here poplars, there cypresses), the colours.
Frau Brachmann is eye-witness, who also coined the term "Tuscany of the North" for the Uckermark.
