The Blumberger Mill
When a tree-trunk becomes an experience
image author: Naturschutzbund Deutschland We have to thank the Naturschutzbund (Conservation Authority)
NABU for this
multi-medial Experience Centre. The
Blumberger Mill looks like a giant tree-trunk and was founded in 1997 in the middle of the
Biosphärenreservates Schorfheide-Chorin. For all big and small city people is this
destination an absolute must.
The most different wetlands are being brought together on 14 ha nature experience landscape.
21 fish ponds, moors, play areas and observation towers open up new worlds. Unknown animal and plant species, ecological contexts and lots of interesting information are being conveyed here in well planned exhibitions and makes nature vividly tangible.
One can even see the nearby osprey eyrie via a live camera. Starting at the Blumberger Mill there is no limit for your exploration drive through the Biosphärenreservat, whether on foot or with the bicycle.
Do come and visit the Blumberger Mill.
We look forward to your visit!
