image author: Gemeinde Boitzenburger Land On the Kirchberg in Boitzenburg at an exposed place can the church St. Marien be seen from afar. Medieval hall church, long stretched, rectangular stone building from the 2nd half of the 13th century.
image author: Gemeinde Boitzenburger Land In Thomsdorf, at the border to Mecklenburg-Strelitz, near Carwitz and the Carwitzer Lake is a little church from the 13th century situated. The tower was actually taken down in the 18th century.
That is why the bells are situated at a separate bell-house since the 19th century.
image author: Gemeinde Boitzenburger Land Well worth seeing is also the valuable, polychrome bordered winged altar from the 15th century.
The figures are framed by fine late-gothic wood carvings.
image author: Gemeinde Boitzenburger Land The leaning tower of Jakobshagen is unfortunately or rather thank heavens history.
The tower dilapidated since the 2nd World War has been restored since 2003.
Well worth seeing interior: neo-gothic Lütkemüller-Organ and the wooden retable, which was created from original two late-gothic carved altars.
