The
town from 1230 is today a state approved
climatic health resort. The
NaturThermeTemplin was only opened last year. It attracts lover of
mare-milk baths and
water slides,
salt-water baths and
massages and satisfies every wish around
wellness and
health.
Templin visitors are optimal protected as the
town is surrounded by a completely preserved
city-wall with three town gates from the
13th century. Inside, the
historical town centre, the
church St. Maria-Magdalena, the square market place with the classicism town hall the many dreamy half-timbered houses of the city wait for your visit.
The
Uckermärkische Volkskundemuseum at the Prenzlauer Gate describes what the
foresters, rafters and
glassblowers, the
traditional craftspeople were up to. A
steamboat landing stage at the city's lake takes care of
steamboats or
boats lover.
From here visitors are able to set sail to the Nature Park Uckermärkische Lakes. And should you dislike cycling tours then try the handcar. With a bicycle on tracks fun is not far away. The 30 kilometre long distance leads directly to Fürstenberg and is in Germany unique.
