The wood sculptor Gilbert Waligora was a guest at the fun relay of the Fire Brigade Bruchhagen at the 23.09.2006 war to demonstrate his wood craft. He was able to call attention to the mill project and work further at the relief of the Greiffenberger windmill.

11.07.2006: This year I'm coming from afar
I miss my lovely mill frame
what was still strong and firm today
collapsed calm and quietly
time takes back what belongs to her.
Time, who called her ?
she comes when somebody decides,
now the old mill has been targeted
because this someone gives, protects and takes.
(sent in by Reiner Marquardt as reaction to the mill collapse)
02.07.2006: The mill collapsed after being hit by strong winds ! The remnants have to be protected from theft.
This incident affected all concerned parties but gives new motivation to press ahead with the project even more actively.
01.07.2006: Latest donation score 10580,00 Euro. This way to the Donation Barometer.
German Mill Day 2006
On Whit Monday, 05.06.2006, the first German Mill Day took place at the Greiffenberger mill. From 3pm onwards cake and coffee was served, information and the model of an mill octagon (outline of the mill body) on the scale of 1:10.
The model was done free of charge by the brothers Christian and Eberhard Koch from Grünow and will take the place of the collapsed mill.
A positive result of the Mill Day was a considerable member increase for the association.
This shows the growing support of the Greiffenberg population.

Work assignment on the 29th of April:
The fence could be completed thanks to the energetic help of Berliner, Greiffenberger and residents from surrounding villages.
From afar I come year after year
my anxious look, is it still standing ?
from afar I see the mill's frame.
And stubborn a sail raises
as it has done for ever
it appears to me as when a piece
of eternity has hidden here.
And when I come again after a long time
n my thoughts I see it standing
newly rebuilt and ready
oh heaven how wonderful it would be.
